March 1, 2010

We have had now four Tai Chi lessons, the group is getting smaller every day, but is just fine. This is partially due to the fact that just before, the walk a mile in going on, and most of the time, just after there is a lecture. Plus it is not to everybody's taste.

I personally think it is very good, Rosemary is a very good teacher, and although it is different from the lessons I got from Sergey Tunisov, they are as good.

Tonight is also Pirate's night. Ross and I are planning to kidnap the Captain and will be asking a hughe ransom from Star Flyer, before releasing him. Now don't send an email to Star Clippers, that will spoil our fun.

We are a good sport, so we informed the Captain of our plans. We got the idea that he is not very willing, we just don't understand why. He is such a nice man. We will keep you informed.

I have brought an eyepatch, a scarf covered in skulls, and my Captain Hook glove with me. Need some ducttape, otherwise I will loose my hook. Coming fully prepared. I will try to download some photo's.

Last night we - that is Sue and the Premes, won another quiz. The guys were not very pleased! But they cheated. We are only five, Roky, Rossmund, Sue, Carla and I, and we were sitting in a corner on the tropical bar, the other team was surrounded by passengers, who were already out of the competition. So needless to say, we are very proud of our girlpower. Especially since we decided to skipp a question the night before, so we would not win again. Every time you win, you have to come up with 10 questions, plus some spare ones.

So tonight it is our turn to ask the questions, we have made up two days ago. Perhaps the guys will win this time, since we will not participate.

This afternoon I am going to a "Watercolour class". Have no idea who will give it, it might be just a get together of all passengers who are interested in doing watercolours. Let's see.

At 18.00 hours a lot of the passengers are gathered on the aft deck, to sing Salve Regina. The first day, it was horrible. The second a little bit better, and now having done it four days in a row, it really sounds nice. I think it is a nice tradition.

We are still having head winds, and the feares that we will be passing by the Cocos Islands, is growing day by day. We are doing about 5.5 knots, so not very fast.

In a previous blog I stated that we had 4000 km of water under the ship. This should have been 4 km of water. Sorry.

Well, this will be all for this afternoon. Will let you know tomorrow, about the Pirate's night and El Capitano.

Take care.

Ineke
